CATEGORIES OF MEMBERSHIP
Primary/Secondary/Controlled Grammar Teacher/Substitute Teacher
Teachers serving in a permanent, temporary (1 year or more) or substitute (daily basis) capacity pay a monthly subscription at the rate of 0.55% deducted directly from salary by the Department of Education.

Grammar school members pay £150 per annum paid in quarterly amounts. The quarterly subscriptions are taken in February, May, August and November on the last day of the month.

External Educational Agencies
Teachers working in CCEA, CCMS, ELBs, RTU, etc should complete the Direct Debit membership application form. Direct Debit membership is £150 per annum paid in quarterly amounts. The quarterly subscriptions are taken in February, May, August and November on the last day of the month.

Teachers on Career Break can retain membership of the INTO at the rate of £50 per annum. Career break members are entitled to the same services and benefits as ordinary members.

Teachers who have retired and who no longer intend to teach may apply for Associate membership at the rate of £40 per annum . Associate members are eligible for INTO information, services and benefits with the exception of death benefits.

Student Membership
Anyone training to be a teacher is eligible for student membership of INTO. Student membership is free.
