From war-torn Syria and elsewhere, families are being forced to flee their homes in fear for their lives.
Europe is not doing enough to offer them safety. Too often, refugees are left to the mercy of unseaworthy boats or the back of refrigerated lorries. Instead they need safe and legal routes to reach Europe and rebuild their lives.
On September 14th, there will be emergency talks by EU ministers on the escalating refugee crisis.
We want to send a message that people here are open to helping refugees and that we can’t continue to allow thousands to die trying to reach the EU and their legal right to claim asylum.
There needs to be Europe-wide agreement on providing help where it is so desperately needed, and sharing that responsibility fairly.
Please share and invite all your friends.
