INTO achieved the best ballot outcome of all the teaching unions and the result has clearly demonstrated the anger and frustration of teachers with the current proposals to amend their pension arrangements. It is therefore vital that INTO deliver a clear message to the NI assembly and the government in Westminster that enough is enough.

The Irish National Teachers Organisation is joining with all the other teaching and public service unions in a Day of Action on November 30th 2011. The Day of Action will be in the form of a one-day strike across the entire public service and will involve the closing of schools for the day.
