Launch of the LGB Teachers' Group information leaflet
On Saturday March 3rd Senator Katherine Zappone launched the new INTO LGB Teachers’ Group Information Leaflet in the Central Hotel, Exchequer Street, Dublin 1. The information leaflet will be distributed to all INTO members in the April issue of the Intouch Magazine.
Dublin Pride Parade – Saturday, 25 June 2011
The INTO LGB group took part in the Dublin Pride Parade on Saturday 25th June.
There was a great turnout of members and supporters, including the INTO President Ms. Noreen Flynn, and INTO representatives from Northern Ireland.
The ASTI and TUI LGB groups also took part, and the three groups were joined by representatives from IFUT and PSEU. The Minister for Education, Ruairí Quinn, who was attending the parade, joined the group for a photograph as the parade moved off.
There was a fantastic atmosphere in the city, with spectators lining the streets along the whole route from Parnell Square to Christchurch. The teacher union groups got a particularly warm reception from spectators, standing out in their rainbow coloured caps and gowns.
