Sheila Nunan Slams Government Policies

Incoming General Secretary of the INTO and vice chair of the Public
Services Committee of Congress, Sheila Nunan, said government policies
had turned “boom to bust, surplus to deficit and for many, hope into
despair” at a mass meeting of public servants in Galway last night.

The INTO has described today’s limited announcement on school buildings
as proof that the whole building programme needs urgent reform and

Payments For Non Casual Substitute Teachers

Following representations from the INTO the DES has agreed to pay non
casual substitutes for the days where schools were closed due to poor
weather conditions in early January.
