Sick Pay for Seriously Ill Teachers is INTO Priority

The INTO said the priority for the union was to protect sick pay for teachers with long-term, serious illnesses. The union said it was gravely concerned at government proposals for public service sick leave.

INTO was represented yesterday (2 May 2012) at discussions which opened at the Labour Relations Commission (LRC) regarding sick pay conditions in the public service.
Education (Amendment) Bill Finishes in Dáil

The Education (Amendment) Bill yesterday (2 May 2012) completed all stages in Dáil Éireann. A key amendment which had been sought by INTO was accepted by the Minister.
