Talks to Start on Croke Park Agreement

The DES has written to Teacher Unions in relation to commencing discussions on the implementation of the Public Sector Agreement. It is expected that the initial discussion will be centred around the additional hour per week which forms part of the agreement and is due for implementation from the beginning of the next school year. INTO advice for members is that any planning in relation to the calendar for the coming school year should proceed as usual, pending the outcome of negotiations.

Following the acceptance of the Agreement by INTO members in the recent ballot, the CEC decided to withdraw the current directives in place with immediate effect. Further updates will be posted on an ongoing basis on this website.
