The Department of Education and Youth has opened a survey seeking the views of staff and Boards of Management in relation to the provision of primary education in communities in the future. The survey is seeking feedback on issues related to co-education, patronage/ethos and language.
Given that members are central to their school communities, the union had long sought the inclusion of staff in this survey. The survey is confidential, so no staff member will be identified by participating in the survey.
The union is strongly encouraging members to have their say in this very important survey. A unique PIN is being distributed to each school which members will need to obtain to complete the survey. The survey will remain open until 16 December 2025.
