Today, Tuesday 13 November, the senior leadership of the INTO met with senior officials at the Department of Education and Skills. The INTO delegation comprised:

INTO President Joe Killeen
INTO Vice-President Feargal Brougham
INTO Deputy General Secretary Noel Ward
During the meeting, INTO notified senior officials of the result of our recent ballot on the proposed ‘new entrant’ agreement. INTO members voted 53% to 47% against the proposal. The department was also informed that INTO was engaged in a month long consultation with our members in the lead up to a ballot on industrial action.
