The Department of Education and Skills (DES) has published amendments to the career break scheme for primary teachers for the 2018/19 school year.
Teachers on career break should note that that 90 day cap on subbing has been lifted for this school year and teachers on career break who work in excess of 40 days in the school year will be paid at the casual substitute rate until day 40 and at their personal rate for any substitute days in excess of this.
