As outlined in September’s issue of InTouch, notice in writing of intention to be a candidate for the vacant position on the Benefit Funds Committee had to be submitted by 5 p.m. on Monday, 3 December 2018.
The following candidates gave notice and were successful in being elected to the following committees:
Benefit Funds Committee – Division II By-election – 2019-2021
Peter McCabe – Craobh Dhún Laoghaire, 47% Vote, Not Elected
Tara O’Sullivan – Dublin North East, 53% Vote, Elected
The Benefit Funds Committee (BFC) consists of five elected representatives, one for each of five electoral divisions, together with the general secretary and the deputy general secretary/general treasurer. The committee administers various funds of the Organisation, in particular the Benevolent Fund and the Illness and Mortality Fund.
