INTO sought clarification from the Department of Education and Skills (DES) for teachers regarding the issuing of decisions in respect of applications for CIDs. The DES has informed INTO that not all schools have been issued with decisions. The DES are continuing to process CID applications and has indicated that the remaining decisions will be notified to schools early next week.
Any appeal of the refusal to grant a CID or with the terms of the contract of the CID (if awarded) must be made within 4 working weeks from the date of notification. The adjudication process is outlined in DES Circular 0030/2018.
