Pay and allowance restorations, negotiated by the INTO and other unions under the PSSA, are completed from 1 October 2020 as confirmed in Circular 0060/2020 now issued by the Department of Education.
An uplift of 2% applies to all pay scales, as set out in the circular, while allowances generally are restored to their value as of 31 December 2009 after which they had been cut by 5%.
Members are reminded that the changes are given in summary format in September’s InTouch magazine (pp. 14-15), with a number of examples of the effect of the uplifts provided there.
