Principals’ and Deputy Principals’ Conference

The Central Executive Committee has decided that the scheduled two day Principals’ and Deputy Principals’ Consultative Conference in the Newpark Hotel will be a virtual conference – held using the ‘InEvent’ platform – for one day on Friday, 1 October, 2021.
The theme of this conference is Sustaining School Leadership and we believe this is an important opportunity for school leaders to express their views on a range of matters. The Principals’ and Deputy Principals’ Committee has conducted research with focus groups and one-to-one interviews in order to develop workshops on the theme, both in the context of the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.  Delegates will attend workshops and have the opportunity to contribute to the discussion groups on the day.  A keynote speaker will also address delegates.

Who can attend the Principals’ and Deputy Principals’ Conference?

Delegates nominated at Fora

Members of the Central Executive Committee and Benefit Funds Committee

Members of INTO national committees

The INTO portal area is open for the registration of delegates. A ‘how to’ guide is available on the Officer Extranet.

Districts are invited to nominate delegates to the conference in accordance with the following:

Districts may send up to a total of 20 delegates from the Fora in their district.  Principals’ and deputy principals’ are eligible to be nominated as delegates. You can also register three district officer delegates. The allocation of places among the fora in the district is a matter for the district.

Further information in relation to the conference including timetable, workshops etc. will be posted here in due course.
