INTO will attend the Consultative Forum on Teacher Supply organised by the Teaching Council in Athlone today.
In advance of the Forum meeting, the Teaching Council issued a statement on teacher supply, which acknowledges the serious challenges facing schools in securing substitute teachers.
The statement highlights the importance of the stakeholders in education working together to develop practical solutions, to ensure a sufficient supply of high calibre teachers to the needs of the education system.
