INTO has been advised that a large number of schools which are due to lose a teacher have not returned Main Panel Application forms. INTO reminds schools that securing main panel rights for teachers is extremely important. INTO advises that a Main Panel Application Form must be returned, even in circumstances where a teacher is deferring their panel rights. If there is a vacancy arising and a teacher is being retained, the school should advise the Allocations Section accordingly at primaryallocations@education.gov.ie.
The DES are not in a position to issue Main Panels to panel operators in the absence of these forms. Delays in the panel will impact on making appointments to schools for the 20/21 school year.
