INTO has been made aware that the OLCS is currently not equipped to record the additional principal release days set out in Circular 20/2019. As such, the DES have provided the following guidance for schools who are recording such days.
Schools are advised to:
- Input the day(s) taken (limits as set out in Circular 0020/2019);
- The extra days will go to “Rules Failed” and should be left in “Rules Failed”;
- Schools should then email the DES at onlineclaims@education.gov.ie requesting that the days be saved. The subject line in the email should read “Principal Release Days 2019/20”;
- A reply email will issue to the school once this is done and the school can then proceed to enter any claim for substitution they may have against these days.
