The Department of Education has issued Circular 0056/21, which outlines pay increases from 1 October 2021 under the Building Momentum agreement.
This is a general round increase in annualised salary (basic pay and allowances, if applicable) of 1% or €500, whichever is greater, for all public servants.
The department has confirmed to the INTO that the pay increases will be implemented in the next pay issue for primary teachers on 14 October 2021.
Members should note that the changes are detailed in summary format in October’s InTouch magazine (pages 10-11), with a number of examples of the effect of the increases provided.
