Following the INTO’s recent negotiation of supply panel extensions, many fixed-term posts for supply teacher positions have been advertised on educationposts.ie and staffroom.ie.
Teachers who are appointed to these fixed-term positions will receive their regular salaries throughout July and August 2022.
In some instances, teachers who take up these contracts may be allocated different teaching duties within their schools later in the schoolyear, thereby becoming eligible to complete the Droichead process.
The INTO understands that the Department of Education pays travel expenses to supply panel teachers for journeys made between the base school and receiving schools.
The INTO will continue its campaign for all primary and special schools to gain access to the scheme.
