INTO suspends planned industrial action ballot to consider new pay offer

The Central Executive Committee of the Irish National Teachers’ Organisation (INTO) has met briefly today. In light of the amended pay offer negotiated by officers of the ICTU Public Services Committee, the union has decided to suspend the planned ballot for industrial action.

The executive will now consider the deal in full and shortly make decisions on how the membership will be balloted on the proposals.

We will provide a further update early next week.
