INTO Summer Programme kicks off today

The INTO Summer Programme opened earlier today providing high-quality professional development courses to thousands of teachers.

This year’s programme offers a broad range of learning opportunities across a variety of formats including two face-to-face, 10 online and a pilot synchronous course. The suite of courses this year has several new additions including Language Matters: Effective Practices for EAL and Understanding and Preventing Racism Through a Global Justice Lens.

The INTO also looks forward to welcoming aspiring leaders to a new, face-to-face course on Optimising your Middle Leadership Role in Schools. The course will take place in the Teachers’ Club which this year celebrates 100 years as a central hub for teachers and teacher professional development

The 2023 programme also sees the return of some of our most popular online courses including Moving from Mainstream to SET and Understanding and Supporting Pupils suffering Adverse Childhood Trauma.

Courses are now fully booked and registration has closed.

Commenting on the opening of the courses, INTO Deputy General Secretary Deirdre O’Connor said:

It is heartening to see record numbers of teachers engaging with summer courses during school closures, demonstrating their ongoing professionalism and commitment to the implementation of the Primary Curriculum Framework in the year ahead. I trust teachers and their pupils will benefit hugely from their engagement with INTO professional development courses”.
