Ashling Murphy Scholarship 1 Sept deadline

Coinciding with the release of Leaving Cert results today, those applying to the 1st year B.Ed in Mary Immaculate College (MIC) Limerick are reminded that applications for the inaugural Ashling Murphy Scholarship must be submitted by 1 September.

The scholarship, a one-off bursary to the value of €4,000, is jointly funded by the INTO and MIC and will be awarded to a 2023/24 1st year B.Ed student in MIC.

The purpose of this Scholarship is to cherish the memory of Ashling Murphy, tragically killed in January 2022, who graduated as a primary school teacher only three months previously from Mary Immaculate College.

This Entrance Scholarship will take account of her talents and love of traditional Irish music.
