Ahead of the appointment of new Boards of Management from 1 December 2023, the Department has published Circular 0049/2023.
In addition to the Circular, an updated Governance Manual for Primary Schools 2023-2027 has also been published. The provisions contained in this manual will govern the composition, appointment and functioning of Boards of Management assuming office from 1 December 2023.
Appendix A of the Governance Manual 2023-2027 outlines the process of nomination/election of the teacher nominee on the Board of Management.
