Schools will have received yesterday a notification from Paul Givan, Minister of Education as he launched a public consultation on the proposals to strengthen inspection legislation.
The issuing of this consultation is not a surprise. The Minister had previously referenced and sign posted this within the TransformED document and in his discussions from the Assembly floor.
INTO intend to make a response to the consultation.
We advise all our members to make their own personal and individual responses to the consultation as well.
At this stage it is important that your voice is heard.
INTO would caution members from distributing the letter to parents in relation to this consultation until can be fact checked and verified.
INTO along with our colleagues across the teaching unions will continue to raise our concerns in the coming days.
