Overview of the role
The INTO is recruiting an Official to join our Communications Team. This role will have a strong focus on digital media, leading the creation and delivery of engaging online content across web, social and email platforms. The successful candidate will play a key role in growing the organisation’s digital presence, ensuring members are informed through dynamic and accessible channels and driving impactful campaigns that amplify the union’s voice.
The successful candidates will have:
- A third-level qualification and/or at least five years’ relevant professional/practical experience, ideally with a strong digital focus.
- Proven ability to create and manage engaging digital content across multiple platforms.
- Strong understanding of social media strategy, analytics and online engagement techniques.
- Experience in multimedia content production (graphics, video, audio) for digital campaigns.
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to simplify complex information for different audiences.
- Strong analytical, reporting and project-management skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Familiarity with current issues in education, industrial relations and the trade union movement is desirable.
- Flexibility to work outside normal hours when required (e.g. campaign launches, media activity).
You are required to hold a valid full driving licence and to continue to hold such a licence during your employment with INTO. You are required to have a car available for your use on INTO business. Travel and Subsistence rates are paid in accordance with Public Service rates and conditions.
