INTO members are reminded that there is a four-year time limit for claiming tax refunds, for example on medical expenses, tuition fees, and flat rate expenses.
The deadline for 2021 claims is 31 December 2025, so now is a good time to check that you have claimed all of your entitlements. You can claim a refund in circumstances where you have overpaid tax in the last four years. You should also check that you are in receipt of all applicable tax credits e.g. rent tax credit.
You can do this online on the Revenue website, using PAYE Services in myAccount. You can also review your tax record online at any time. If you are not already registered for myAccount, you can register quickly and easily on the Revenue website.
