The Irish National Teachers’ Organisation strongly believes that primary and special education is the foundation on which all other facets of society are built.
For Budget 2026, the INTO is calling for:
- An increase in the primary capitation grant by €75 per pupil.
- A reduction in the average class sizes by two pupils.
- An expansion of the Small Schools Pilot Project.
- The introduction of Special Education Needs Coordinators.
