World Menopause Day

World Menopause Day is held every year on the 18th of October. The day was designated by the International Menopause Society (IMS) to raise awareness of the menopause and to support options to improve health and well-being for women in mid-life and beyond.

The theme for World Menopause Day 2023 is cardiovascular disease and the IMS have published the following resources as part of their global awareness raising campaign:

INTO Webinar

INTO are hosting a webinar on the topic ‘Menopause Awareness in Schools’ at 3.30pm on Monday 20 November 2023.

Presented by Catherine O’Keefe (Wellness Warrior), this general awareness webinar will provide an overview of the menopause with a focus on the facts and myths that surround the topic. The key symptoms of the menopause will be highlighted and consideration will be given to those that impact your life in school. Tips and ideas will be provided on how to better support yourself and/or a colleague who is experiencing peri/menopause ensuring that everyone strives through these years in an empowering way.

The webinar will be followed up with post-event resources for teachers and school leaders.
