Working environment: | Normal place of work is Northern Office 23 -24 College Gardens, Belfast. Remote working is available in line with the terms and conditions of the INTO remote working policy. One day working from home. |
OVERVIEW:
The INTO is the largest teachers’ union in Ireland representing 52,000 members in the Republic and Northern Ireland. The Membership section in Belfast and Dublin is the foundation upon which all sections of INTO relies on for up-to-date data on our CRM database. The appointee will be required to have some knowledge on Databases / CRMs ideally with experience working with MS Dynamics, show great attention to detail, show ability to meet weekly and monthly deadlines, to display skill and diligent application in the performance of their role, and to demonstrate flexibility as required. The appointee will have experience of dealing with sensitive, confidential, and personal data.
KEY COMPETENCIES:
- An understanding of the INTO’s objectives and a strong knowledge of the broader education and trade union sectors within which the Organisation operates;
- Expertise in and knowledge of a broad range of issues relevant to primary and post-primary teachers;
- Capability to accurately explain complex material to members in confident, clear and concise terms;
- Strong writing skills when dealing with individual members and with wider audiences;
- A capacity to participate expertly in the handling of members’ queries;
- Flexibility and an ability to adapt to the changing requirements of the work;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
- Commitment and a demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively as part of a team and to support the work of colleagues;
- An appreciation of the importance of delivering the highest standards of services and support to INTO members.
