Psychology Study on Attention and Learning in Young Children in Early Classroom Environments

What is This Project About?

This all-island study will investigate the lived experience of parents/caregivers to explore their understanding and management of attention. learning and mind-wandering in their children in relation to school tasks.

Who Can Participate? 

Fully Qualified Primary School Teachers with 2 full years of teaching experience.

Teachers must live and work in the Republic or Ireland or Northern Ireland.

Teachers with current or recent experience with Year 1 and 2 or Junior and Senior Infants.

What is Involved?

  • If eligible, you will be invited to participate in a 2 hour focus group.
  • Data collected will be anonymous.
  • Results will be used to develop practical supports to manage inattention / mind-wandering in young children in relation to school tasks.
  • You will also receive a €15 / £15 e-voucher for taking part.
