The INTO wishes to express our profound condolences to the family of Dermot Gallagher, who sadly passed away. A member of our Northern Committee, Dermot was a highly respected colleague and friend who served the members of INTO with great distinction for many years.
Dermot worked in INTO’s Northern Office on secondment, was formerly a member of the Education Committee and was currently a Northern Committee Representative. He also served as School Representative in St Brigid’s College, Derry. His commitment, professionalism and dedication to the work of the union were deeply valued, and his contribution to the life and work of INTO will be long cherished.
Dermot will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his colleagues and friends in the Northern Office and across the union.
INTO extends its sincere sympathy to his wife Carol, to his family, and to his many friends at this difficult time.
