13th edition of the Irish Teachers’ Journal Launched at Education Conference

The 13th edition of the Irish Teachers’ Journal was launched last week at the Education Conference in Sligo.

This year, the guest contribution was written by Larry Flanagan, former General Secretary of the Educational Institute of Scotland, on Promoting and protecting professionalism – a core challenge for teaching unions. This edition also includes articles on themes as wide-ranging as communities of practice in autism special classes, nature connectedness in an Irish primary school, LGBTQ+ inclusivity in primary schools, teacher resilience, modern foreign language integration, Reading Recovery, and Read Aloud Story Breaks.

A copy of the Journal will be posted to all schools in the coming weeks.
