Domestic Violence Leave circular published

The Work Life Balance and Miscellaneous Provisions Act 2023, enacted on 4 April 2023, includes a statutory paid leave provision to support workers who are victims of domestic violence, or who are providing support to a “relevant person” who is experiencing domestic violence. The DE published circular 59/2023 yesterday, which sets out the terms of this leave provision for teachers.

INTO joins global calls for ceasefire in Middle East

The Irish National Teachers’ Organisation (INTO) stands united with fellow trade unions in condemning the recent loss of life in the Middle East. We condemn the killing of children, teachers and civilians in Gaza, the occupied Palestinian territories and Israel together with the destruction of vital infrastructure including schools.

Supplementary Panel applications now open
