Update on Minor Works and ICT Grant Payments

The Irish National Teachers’ Organisation (INTO) welcomes today’s long-awaited announcement that the Minor Works Grant for the 2025/26 school year and the next instalment of the ICT funding are being paid to primary and special schools.

The Department of Education and Youth (DEY) has today published Circular 0041/2025 along with the Updated Child Protection Procedures for Primary and Post-Primary Schools 2025.

Main redeployment panels came into operation this year on 12 May 2025. The DEY advises that there are currently 97 surplus permanent or CID-holding teachers on Main Panels for redeployment.

INTO Bursaries return for 2025 with special LGBT+ inclusion award

The INTO Bursary Scheme for members will be continued for 2025. Up to six bursaries will be awarded with awards of €3,000 for Doctorate Level and €1,500 for Masters Level/Other. Occupational Injury Leave circular published

The INTO today welcomes the publication of Circular 0013/2025, which provides occupational injury leave for registered teachers if they are medically unfit to work following an accident in the workplace.
