Supplementary panels

Supplementary panels have issued to the Panel Operators in the following areas:

Catholic Dioceses:            All areas with the exception of the Dioceses of Kerry, Kildare & Leighlin and Waterford & Lismore

Church of Ireland:            All areas

Educate Together:           All areas

An Foras Patrúnachta:     All areas


Important Reminder for Teachers on Supplementary Panel:

  1. You are reminded that when the Supplementary Panels are in operation, primary schools with vacancies must be able to contact you at all times through email. You must respond to any email offer of a permanent post within 3 calendar days.  Failure to respond to such email correspondence from a school may lead to your removal from this panel.
  2. The option given to schools to use a website ( / as a means of engaging with the Supplementary Panel continues for the 2017/18 school year.

Ensure that   Supplementary Panel Update Form 17/18  is filled out and returned to the Primary Allocations Section in the DES when you have accepted a permanent job,  if you are remaining in a fixed-term post or if you are going travelling for the year.  You must also notify your Panel Operator so that your name can be taken off the Supplementary Panel.  

The onus will be on the teacher to re-apply for the 2018/19 school year for access to the relevant supplementary panel and meet the eligibility requirements as per the supplementary panel circular applicable at the time.

Please be mindful of data protection issues when emailing teachers on the Supplementary Panel – Use the BCC option on email.
