District 2: Principals’/Deputy Principals’ Committee (PDC) Fora

INTO would like to draw your attention to the fact that this year requires an election process for the District representatives to the National Committee for Principals & Deputies Committee (PDC).

Mark Murtagh (Newry Branch) who is the current District 2 representative has decided not to put his name forward to run for re-election.

We thank him most sincerely for the energy and efforts he has put into this role over the last number of years representing the voice of school leaders in District 2.

In order to facilitate a nomination from District 2, a PDC Fora meeting has been scheduled for:

📍 Venue: Canavan’s, Ballygawley (formerly Kelly’s Inn)

Any member who would be interested in taking up this role should be in attendance at the meeting and can get further details on what the role entails, by contacting Northern Office.

This role would commence following the INTO Annual Congress in April 2026 following the declaration of elections as set out in Rule 40 of the INTO Rules and Constitution.

INTO very much welcomes the active participation of our school leaders in the work of INTO throughout the year.

An update on the current issues in education will also be provided.
