Guidance on Preparation for Teaching and Learning

  • Webinar

This webinar will provide an overview of the recently published, Guidance on Preparation for Teaching and Learning, and seeks to support teachers to make the practice of planning more meaningful and reduce the amount of paperwork needed.

The approach that is outlined within this guidance captures the broad range of activities that teachers engage in before, during and after teaching, moving away from an emphasis on paperwork. The guidance is for all teachers in all primary school settings.

The INTO will host a second webinar based on this revised approach to planning featuring representatives from each of the agents involved in the development of the guidance, including Gillian O’Connor, NCCA, Edel Meaney, Department of Education Inspectorate, Dr Catherine Merrigan, NCSE and Rory Collins, PDST, as well as the voice of school principals who are at various stages of engaging with the guidance
