Teachers have an extremely important role in a child’s life. As teachers, we often see behaviours that differ greatly to what is seen in the home and this can be difficult to portray to parents/primary care-givers. This one-hour webinar will explain why behaviours may differ in the home and at school and give useful ideas, tools and methods to working collaboratively with parents/caregivers of primary school children.
Ideas will be given on how to effectively structure parent-teacher meetings, to promote a positive and open relationship with parents, whilst always keeping the needs of the child to the fore. Strategies will be discussed on how to manage conflict and discuss our role as teachers, and how we can use a triangular approach with parents/primary care-givers. This webinar is suitable for all primary school teachers, principals and SET.
