This webinar discusses teaching sustainability, climate change and biodiversity.
Presenters, Laura Ní Mháille and Dr Mary Moore explore practical suggestions for integrating sustainability throughout the primary curriculum, enhancing what teachers are already doing rather than adding to the workload. Attendees will receive a wide selection of digital resources, focusing on literacy, SESE, and the arts, drawing on the work of the ISSN (Irish School’s Sustainability Network).
Laura Ní Mháille is a primary school teacher with over 15 years of experience and is an active member of the ISSN. She has researched and has a keen interest in promoting sustainability in primary schools, believing strongly in the role outdoor learning can play in connecting children with and inspiring action toward a more sustainable future.
Dr Mary Moore is a primary school teacher with 20 years of experience. Mary has conducted research in the area of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) and delivers pre-service and in-service training in the areas of Science and Sustainability. Mary is an active member of the Irish Schools Sustainability Network.
