Upcoming Webinars
30th September: Identifying and supporting the underlying needs on the journey to Dyslexia (Bridging the gap between early identification and formal diagnosis)
Many children begin to show signs of literacy difficulties long before a formal diagnosis of dyslexia is made. This webinar explores how teachers can confidently recognise and respond to these early indicators using the Primary Language Curriculum, the Continuum of Support, and the ALPACA assessment tool. Designed for primary teachers, this session will examine the key underlying needs often present in learners who are at risk of dyslexia, such as difficulties with phonemic awareness, oral language, and early decoding. It will provide practical strategies for classroom and small-group support, as well as guidance on using assessment data to inform targeted interventions — even in the absence of a formal diagnosis. By bridging the gap between early identification and formal assessment, this webinar empowers teachers to take timely, evidence-informed action that supports all learners on their path to reading success.
This webinar commences at 3:30pm.
