Joint INTO/NASUWT/NEU/UTU online meeting for All INTO/NASUWT/NEU/UTU members in the EA Support Services
The four teachers’ Unions, INTO, NASUWT, NEU and UTU, are holding joint meetings with our members in the Support Services in relation to the SEND Transformation and the potential impact on members in the support services.
We are aware of particular immediate issues with regard to the EA Literacy Service and have therefore organised a meeting on Thursday 12 September 2024 at 3.30pm via Teams to meet with the members of the EALS in regard to these issues.
A further meeting for ALL members of ALL EA Support services has been organised for Wednesday 25 September at 3.30pm via Teams

Please note that the first meeting is for members of the four unions in EALS only and the second meeting is for members in the four unions in all EA Support Service.

Attachments below have been shared by EA with schools/playgroup leaders, SENCOs, relevant EA staff and other stakeholder groups, and they include:
• An update from the Director for the September term which includes the update previously sent to schools in June 2024.
• An overview of the support available from Pupil Support Services and Early Years for the transitionary term of 2024-25 while the support services prepare to move to the local teams’ model in 2025.
• An updated ‘request for support’ form that should be completed and returned for children with the most significant and complex needs for the period September to December 2024.
