SSE for School Leaders

In exploring School Self Evaluation, a collaborative, internal school review focused on school improvement, the SSE requirements outlined in the Next Steps document and Circular 0056-2022 will be considered. 

The structured approach of the six-step process will be reviewed, highlighting key elements of each stage and how the process itself can be used as a way of working to support schools in attending to priorities related to teaching, learning, equity and inclusion.

DEIS Action Planning for School Leaders

DEIS action planning for improvement seeks to improve outcomes for those pupils most at risk of educational disadvantage. Reflection on who the DEIS plan is for will be explored in addition to the thematic structure used in DEIS action planning. The use of the six-step process within each DEIS theme will be illustrated.
