As a teacher, you’re a public figure in the eyes of students and parents. That means you have to be aware of both the positive and the negative sides to social media. The positive side is that it’s a quick and easy method of reaching people with information and up-to-the-minute updates. The negative side has to do with sharing too much information, the blurring of private and professional lives and the potential for online bullying and negative comments.
