Kindling the Flame: 150 Years of the Irish National Teachers’ Organisation

The next Equality Conference will take place on Friday 23rd & Saturday 24th January, 2026  in the Tullamore Court Hotel. The working theme for the conference is ‘Diversity in Schools: From Classroom to Staffroom’.

Registration Now Open: The INTO Principals’ and Deputy Principals’ Conference 2025 will take place on Friday 26th and Saturday 27th September in the Clayton Hotel, Galway.

At this time District Secretaries are invited to register their delegates and a pack will be posted to delegates in September. The theme of the conference is “Resilience for school leaders, with a focus on strengthening working relationships”. As the INTO do not centrally book accommodation please advise delegates to make their arrangements early as we understand there will also be a festival in Galway the weekend of our conference.

The 2025 Education Conference will take place in the Radisson Hotel, Sligo, on Friday 21 and Saturday 22 November 2025. The conference will have a Special Education focus.

The 2023 Education Consultative Conference took place in the Tullamore Court Hotel on Friday 17 and Saturday 18 November 2023.

The conference theme was Play and Creativity.

The INTO Youth Conference will take place on Friday 26 and Saturday 27 January 2024 in the Radisson Hotel, Sligo.

This conference is an important opportunity for young members to express their views on a range of concerns and will include plenary sessions where delegates will hear from INTO leaders and are addressed by leading figures from the education sector.

Branches will nominate delegates under the age of 35 years to the Youth Conference at their October branch meetings. If you are interested in attending this conference, please ensure you attend your branch meeting.

Please note there is accommodation available for delegates in the Radisson Blu Hotel, the Sligo Park Hotel and the Glasshouse Hotel. The rate is €145 for a single room and €165 for a double room B&B.
