Substitute Form

Payment in respect of Non-Casual Fixed Term Substitute Absence (xls, 49 kb)

A non-casual substitute is viewed as a fixed term worker for the purposes of the Protection of Employees (Fixed Term Work) Act 2003. Under the Act, a fixed term worker is entitled to the same terms and conditions as a comparable permanent employee, including paid leaves of absence.

As two substitutes cannot be paid for the same role through the OLCS, the non-casual substitute teacher must claim their salary for approved substitutable absences (including certified sick leave and maternity leave) using this form.
